Friends of Chigiana creates opportunities of high academic, artistic and professional value for young music talents through cultural exchange programs between the United States and Italy.
Friends of Chigiana supports the educational and cultural activities of the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy.
OUR VISION
To continue the legacy of Count Guido Chigi Saracini by providing funding for educational opportunities for young musicians.
Money should not be an issue when the best young talents seek to further their studies, to broaden their cultural horizons, and to master their art.
Friends of Chigiana will support the expansion of the academic programs at Chigiana through student scholarships and faculty grants that will contribute to lowering the cost of attending for talented students.

OUR GOALS
The Chigiana Global Academy Programs, launched in 2018, seek to expand the academic teaching activities of the Accademia Chigiana according to the US university model.
The 6-week Study Abroad program offers students the opportunity to earn 6 credits toward their degree while studying in Siena in May and June of each year. The program has capacity for up to 30 students to attend. Currently, the cost of tuition is $7,000 per student.
The concert season “Primavera Chigiana” features performances by the program professors in the Maestro series and the students in the Junior series. Friends of Chigiana is looking to fund 7 full scholarships for the C-GAP Study Abroad Program in 2020.
